Forgive and forget?
"Forgiveness is a virtue of the brave".
- Indira Gandhi
Sometime life throws us a curveball. It's something that interferes with our happy and natural flow of living. We could of been on a roll, and then out of the blue it hits us, and shatters us to a million pieces...and all we can ask ourselves is why? Am I being punished for my wrongdoings in the past? Is it a test? Or is someone trying to tell me something? They say everything happens for a reason. But it's making sense of that reason that gives us the courage to move on. It's the power of thought that lets us live in the present moment, and relinquish the past. It's knowing we can overcome our suffering of what "did" happen, and fight our fears of what "could" happen. But it's not always easy. It's a strength we need to find within us. It's being able to accept that our expectations weren't fulfilled. It's being able to accept that someone we love has let us down. But most importantly...it's being able to find the fortitude within our hearts to forgive and forget.

life's a beach
“OUR MEMORIES OF THE OCEAN WILL LINGER ON, LONG AFTER OUR FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND ARE GONE"
- Anonymous.
They say the best things in
life are free. Generally its true. It’s not the materials we buy, but it’s the
memories we keep forever. On the weekend I had the pleasure of going on a mini
surfing trip down to Kingscliff beach with some loved ones. The landscape couldn’t of been more pristine.
The feel of sand between my toes was therapeutic. The sound of the waves
crashing was peaceful. The refreshing feeling of cold salt water regenerated my
body. The area had perfectly been sun-kissed. What I loved most about the day is
that everyone who walked past had something nice to say or smiled, as if we were
old friends. I shared many laughs with good company, and got picture perfect
snaps that I will treasure forever.
Ciao.

live and let live
“J’AIME LA VIE! I FEEL THAT TO LIVE IS A WONDERFUL THING!” – COCO CHANEL
Life is a wonderful gift. How we use it is the question. But for that there is no answer. Many people spend their lives trying to fulfil themselves and pretend to be someone that they're not. Think of it this way...we are born, we live, we die. Do we really want to spend our existence chasing someone else's identity? So many of us try to search for ultimate happiness when really, it's sitting right in front of us. In the words of Louise L. Hay everyone suffers from self hatred and guilt, but in order be happy we need to learn to love ourselves. Its simple. Listen to your favourite song, go for a walk, talk to your best friend, tell your parents you love them, do things you've never done before, eat your favourite meal (and appreciating every bite), read a book, travel, meet new people, share your experiences, wear your sexiest outfit, learn new things, and most of all...smile (it makes you instantly attractive and leaves a lasting impression). Once we learn to love ourselves it is only then people start to love us, and it is only then we begin to express our love to others, and it is only then we have an appreciation for living. Life is a voyage of independence and companionship, and there are no limits. It's simple, what we give out we get back, and our power of thought is always in the present moment. Sure life has its dark moments, but its the way we choose to feel about it that makes us very powerful individuals.
I hope to share some of my little pleasures and thoughts with you, what exactly that may be I don't know. Expect the unexpected.
Enjoy.
K
